Xbox Series Information

Microsoft’s Xbox Series released worldwide on November 10, 2020. The Xbox Series introduced two different consoles for consumers to choose from. The Xbox Series X is the most powerful system of the two, allowing the system to make use of 4K video game titles. The Series X also included a disc drive, allowing consumers to make use of their physical library of video games. The Series S is the least powerful console, not being fully capable of 4K gaming. The Series S is an all-digital console, meaning that there’s no disc drive. Consumers can only purchase and download video games from the system’s Microsoft store.

The Xbox Series launched with no exclusive titles that can only be found on the Xbox Series. Halo infinite was meant to be a launch title for the Series consoles, but was delayed an entire year to Holiday 2021. Things weren’t looking too hot for Microsoft as Sony launched their next-gen console with multiple exclusive titles. The Series consoles also lacked their own next-gen controller. The biggest saving grace for Microsoft was their Game Pass subscription.

Game Pass is a subscription service that costs $15 per month, and allows for users to gain access to a vast library of video games. Users can download and play as many games as possible. If users don’t want to download the games, users have the ability to stream video games directly to their console. Microsoft has also promised its Xbox users that their video games will release day one on Game Pass. The Game Pass library would also be introducing new video games at a consistent rate.
