Over the past decade, PC gaming has grown massively in popularity. There’s many things to take into account for its rise in popularity. One of the reasons is competitive gaming. Slowly but surely, the gaming landscape has transitioned away from casual gaming. Competitive gaming has been one of the biggest driving forces for various different video games including League of Legends, Valorant, and Counter Strike.

The second reason behind PC gaming growing in popularity, is that there are some games that can only be played on a PC. The games which I previously listed can only be found on PC. They’re not the only games that can be played on PC, there’s a sea of video games that can be found in the Steam store. A lot of PC gamers prefer a mouse and keyboard over using a controller. Claiming that mouse and keyboard allows for precise inputs.

The third reason behind PC gaming growing in popularity is that PC allows for more customization for video games. The ability to customize ranges from mods or in-game settings. Mods allow gamers to have control over the content in game, whether that be increasing the difficulty, changing in-game models, or taking things out entirely. In-game settings allow for gamers to have full control over the performance of the game, whether that be frames per second, field of view, or graphics.
